Enrolment

Our school can help with enrolment queries throughout the year.

Local enrolment area

Most schools have designated local enrolment areas. School Finder shows our local enrolment area. Note: local enrolment areas are subject to change.

How to enrol

When you’re ready to enrol your child in our school, you’ll attend an interview with the principal. There you can discuss any medical conditions or other special circumstances before your child starts school. We may also complete a risk assessment on the enrolment.

For more information, visit primary school enrolment or contact us to discuss your child’s enrolment.

Download an application to enrol (PDF 579KB).

Application forms must be completed in English. However, a translated application to enrol may help you to fill out the form in English.

Non-local enrolments

As outlined in the department’s enrolment policy, our school may accept enrolments from outside our local enrolment area if places are available.

A non-local enrolment is a student whose permanent and principal place of residence is beyond the designated intake area. Out-of-area enrolment requests should be made in writing using the Non-local application form available below.

Criteria for selecting out-of-area enrolment applications may include one or more of the following factors. The factors listed are in priority order:

  • siblings already enrolled at the school
  • medical reasons
  • compassionate circumstances
  • safety and supervision of the student before and after school
  • recent change in the local intake area boundaries

The Enrolment Panel reserves the right to consider, and accept, special case applications. The panel has the authority to give priority of criteria for successful special case applications.

You can download a non-local enrolment form and return it to the school for a panel to consider your request by 1 July for the following year.

Enrolment appointments

If your child is currently enrolled in a NSW public school, contact us to discuss the enrolment procedures and obtain the necessary paperwork.

If your child is coming from a non-government school, contact us to make an appointment to discuss your child's potential enrolment. For your appointment, if your child has not been previously enrolled in a NSW public school, you will need to bring these documents with you:

  • your child's birth certificate or identity documents
  • proof of student's address - originals of different documents such as your council rates notice or residential lease and electricity bill
  • Immunisation history statement based on the Australian Childhood Immunisation Register (ACIR)
  • family law or other relevant court orders (if applicable).

If your child is not a permanent resident, you will also need to provide:

  • passport or travel documents
  • current visa and previous visas (if applicable).

For children already enrolled in a NSW public school we only require:

  • proof of student's address - originals of different documents such as your council rates notice or residential lease and electricity bill
  • family law or other relevant court orders (if applicable).

It's important that you tell the principal if your child has any special circumstances, allergies, health or medical conditions before your child starts school.
